Mardi Himal
The Mardi Himal lies in the Annapurna region, the peak standing at a height of 5,587 meters. The mountain separates the southwest ridge of Machhapuchre as a separate mass at right angles to the ridge and is best seen from the south. The southwest face of the mountain has three well-defined ridges rising from rock buttresses and separated by hanging glaciers. The normal climbing route to the summit of Mardi Himal passes through a col at 5,200 meters which separates the east face of the Mardi from the Machhapuchre ridge.

Although the first ascent to the Mardi Himal by the westerners was made way back in the 1960s, the peak is relatively less attempted one. The Mardi remains one of the least visited peaks to this date, despite relatively being a low peak just 15 kilometers from Pokhara.
