Ramdung Peak
The Ramdung Peak: The Ramdung Peak lies in the Rolwaling Himal Region just west to the Khumbu Region. The peak stands at a height of 5925 meters, and fall into the Group B category of the NMA’s Climbing Peak List. The classic route begins with a trek from Dolakha, and crosses the Northeastern glaciers on the way. The mountain is not technical in comparison to other peaks like Cholatse. The ascent from the northern approach is easier & usual route than the difficult southern approach.

Suggested Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu & Transfer to hotel
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing/ Preparation for the Expedition   
Day 03: Drive to Dolakha (5 hrs).
Day 04: Trek Dolakha to Piguti
Day 05: Trek Piguti to Suri Dobhan
Day 06: Trek Suri Dobhan to Jagat
Day 07: Trek Jagat to Simagaun .
Day 08: Trek Simagaun to Kharka
Day 09: Trek Kharka to Beding
Day 10: Rest day at Beding for acclimatization.
Day 11: Trek Beding to Na
Day 12: Rest day at Na to explore the surrounding.
Day 13: Trek Na to Ramdung Base Camp
Day 14: Rest / Exploration Day
Day 15: Trek to Ramdung High Camp.
Day 16: Climb Ramdung (5,925m / 19,437 ft). Return to the Base Camp.
Day 17: Trek to Yalung La.
Day 18: Trek to Chho Rolpa Lake.
Day 19: Cross Tashi Lapcha Pass
Day 20: Continue over to finish the crossing of pass
Day 21: Trek to Ngole
Day 22: Trek to Thame
Day 23: Trek to Namche Bazar
Day 24: Trek Namche to Lukla
Day 25: Flight: Lukla - Kathmandu.

Royalty for the Ramdung Peak:

9-12 persons 510 plus 25 per person
Maximum number of members in a team is 12.

Garbage deposit: A refundable garbage deposit has to be made for climbing any of the Group A & Group B category climbing peaks. The deposit mount of USD 250.00 must be deposited with the Nepal Mountaineers Association (NMA) which makes the refund according its provisions
.
Notes:
  • Each climbing team will fill up an application form provided by the NMA mentioning the partner trekking agency registered with the HMG and NMA and accompanied by a sirdar/guide registered with NMA.
  • The permit is valid for the period of one month only. The maximum number of the group size will be 12 persons.
  • An additional 25% charge of the total amount of the initial fee will be made for each extended week.
  • The leader or climbing member of the team must collect the permit in person from Nepal Mountaineering Association.
